Balanced by Difference

This sculpture maps out the tension and teamwork behind every collective journey. The clustered silver stones represent the core system; the familiar environment where people stand, balance, and pull their weight. Each small figure planted on these stones is actively connected, holding ropes that tether one rock to another. They aren’t simply standing; they’re stabilizing, supporting, and negotiating equilibrium inside a shared structure.

Then one element breaks the pattern. A single red rock sits outside the formation bold, disruptive, unapologetically different. It’s the outlier, the visionary, the catalyst. Its color signals courage, risk, and deviation from the comfort zone. It challenges the grid, pushes the boundary, and forces the system to evolve.
