Stefany Zefanya is a Jakarta-based Indonesian contemporary artist working primarily in watercolour, mixed media, and illustration. She is widely recognised for her iconic red-headed protagonist, Eleven, a recurring figure through which she translates the textures of everyday human experience into visual narrative.
Her practice moves across joy, emptiness, contentment, unconditional love, harsh self-criticism, and resilience, each work functioning as a visual metaphor for the duality inherent in lived experience. Beyond her signature caricature, Zefanya's body of work spans surrealism, anthropomorphic objects, deco figures, and digital portraiture, demonstrating consistent versatility across styles and media.
Zefanya has exhibited extensively across Indonesia and internationally, with presentations in Tokyo, Chelsea, New Jersey, Shenzhen, Singapore, Bangkok, Bali, and Yogyakarta. She has participated in major art fairs including Art Jakarta (2023, 2024), Art Moments Jakarta (2023, 2024), and Art Jakarta Gardens 2024. She is represented by Kendys Gallery, Jakarta. In addition to her exhibition practice, Zefanya has led masterclasses covering the full arc from conceptual development to execution, reflecting her commitment to building the broader artistic community.
